Staccato Styling Session

wearing Cottonink top & white pants, Staccato snakeskin pointy heels, LV speedy bag

Went to STACCATO Styling Session earlier to talk about styling and share some tips and tricks on how to fit your personal style into your daily outfits. I was the speaker along with Clara and Ditya. It was honestly one of the most favourite workshops I ever attend to because not only we got to meet with the readers who share the same passions with ours (you know when we girls talked about fashion and photography, instagram thingy, accompanied with pretty shoes, everything just CLICKED right away), we also got a chance to do a styling competition on stage and see our awesome readers do the styling with their own personal styles! Thanks STACCATO for hosting this in your super chic store, I hope there will be more of these later! :)

supported by Cottonink who provides all the wardrobes for the models and styling competition. Thank you!

So here's my adorably laid-back model, so good to see my styling seemed to match her personality perfectly!

My model wearing my sunglasses, dressed in all hippie chic but still appropriate for school or work! :)

The session started!

So here's Clara's look and mine, all from the same brands of clothing, Cottonink, and shoes by Staccato. We're showing how your personal style shows even when you're wearing the same brands or the same monochromatic look. One thing I always love from Staccato collection is that they're really versatile and they have a wide collection of shoes, from a vintage pumps, edgy ankle boots, sporty sneakers, classy kitten heels, and cute flats. They let us to experiment with our style yet still be comfortable at the same time. Speaking of comfortability, their heels are always in the perfect height to wear everyday, it doesn't make me tired or have blisters on my feet, super comfy, I can go on and on about what I love about this brand because it's what I wear on a daily basis!

Clara chose a pair of grey pumps which is perfect for her signature vintage style. I got a quirky touch going on my look, I paired an all white top and wide legged pants, doubled it up with a black long vest and matched it with a wood and leather clogs to go with the hippie vibe. This is the look I'd choose if I were to go to campus or work, because you know, I feel better when I start the day wearing the outfit that I love to wear. I can feel my mood goes brighter and it feels like I'm ready to face anything if I'm dressed for it. Yes, choosing outfit for your daily activity is that important (that's why we spend so much time every morning figuring out what to wear) so ditch all your boring outfits and start playing dress up!

Ditya shared her tips and tricks on how to capture good fashion photos for your instagram and blog, how to get inspirations and I actually learned a lot from her session too! I love it when she talked about capturing moods and feelings in your photographs because that's what you have to deliver when you take pictures, it's about speaking without words. :)

Overall it was really fun, we had the styling competition and these girls styled their best friend with their own style, the winners brought home a head-to-toe outfit set from Cottonink and Staccato, WOOHOO! Thank you for coming to our session and hope to see you again on our next event, if you want to be informed on our next meet-up or workshops, you can send me email at contact.soniaeryka(at)yahoo(dot)com with subject (contact me!) and follow my instagram and blog, I will be glad to invite you! :)
